Columbus, OH/Austin, TX Logic.wiki will welcome Pride Fund 1 for a featured panel at the 2023 World Logic Day on January 12th hosted at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in Austin, TX where they will also announce a strategic venture investment.
“The Pride Fund is excited to take part in a day of critical conversations around how logic is used to solve some of humanity’s most pressing challenges and we couldn’t think of a better place to do that than in TX” said Densil Porteous, CEO of Pride Fund 1. “The team is looking forward to a day of great conversations, spirited exchanges of information, and a wonderful investment announcement that will continue our commitment of helping create positive change in TX.”
The Pride Fund’s Logic Day panel will be moderated by Alicia Weigel and Nancy Fechnay. Alicia Weigel, partner at the Pride Fund, Human Rights Commissioner for Austin, and nicknamed by the Pride team “the GOV” worked to spearhead Pride Fund’s partnership and involvement for World Logic Day. With her commitment to helping invest various forms of capital into the Austin community, the Pride Fund will share more about their model and celebrate an Austin based company on the cusp of doing big things in 2023.
Nancy Fechnay, both a 3X founder and investor, is focused on bridging the worlds of venture capital and purpose. Nancy belongs to a global community of the top philanthropists, impact investors, and entrepreneurs around the world titled NEXUS. Additionally, she serves as Venture Partner for Gaingels. Nancy will help guide a meaningful conversation around how to combine impact, entrepreneurship, and capital.
The panel will consist of Densil Porteous, CEO of Pride Fund, Damian Pelliccione, CEO and Co-Founder of Revry, and Colby Harvy, CEO at Rizse. Leadership team members of the Pride Fund Wolf Starr and Michael Smithson will also be present.
This conversation will highlight how entrepreneurs, investors, and venture capitalists can work together to drive awareness and real change in communities through using straight forward logic assessment to make informed decisions. The group will share their logic on how they are approaching a new area for venture and using a unique model to bring more awareness and change for LGTBQI+/queer rights and communities.
As a commitment to bettering the Texas and Austin community, Pride Fund will invest in one company with a vision to make a big difference in 2023–the finalists include Legal Karma and Happy Pillar.
